Lorri A. Riley, DPM


While attending college, Dr. Riley had to have surgery on her feet and then decided to change her major to become a podiatrist.  Dr. Riley graduated from Black Hills State University in 1987 and then earned her DPM degree in 1991.  In 1992 she started the Black Hills Foot Clinic.  During that time she also founded the Spearfish Surgery Center.  She practiced for about 10 years before leaving the Black Hills.  Dr. Riley moved to St. Petersburg Florida and started a podiatry practice.  After living in Florida for 7 years she decided it was time to go back home to the Black Hills to be with her family.

In her spare time, Dr. Riley enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to church, and volunteering with different charities.

Sadie Snyder, Office Manager


Sadie started with us in March of 2011 helping Dr. Riley promote and sell her patent pending J1 Insoles for flat feet.  Dr. Riley and Sadie went to numerous retail stores and successfully sold the product to four different stores in the Black Hills area.

After a few months Sadie became the office assistant at A Step Ahead and has been here since.

Sadie is originally from Denver, Colorado and relocated to Spearfish in September of 2010 with her husband John.
